You must fit a response surface design model with one or more variables before you can generate factorial plots. To produce an interaction plot, you must have two or more variables. Factorial plots do not use the data in the worksheet. Instead, Minitab looks in the worksheet for the stored model to obtain the information necessary to generate the plot.

Minitab automatically stores the most recent model that you fit for each response variable. To view information about models that are stored in the worksheet, click View Model in the Factorial Plots dialog.
