Stat > DOE > Response Surface > Response Optimizer > Setup

Specify the boundaries, weight, and importance for each response variable. You can use the default values or enter your own values. The defaults are as follows:

Response: Displays all the responses that will be included in the optimization. This column does not take any input.

Goal: Displays the goal for each response. This column does not take any input.

Lower: For each response that has a goal of Target or Maximize, enter a lower boundary.

Target: Enter a target value for each response.

Upper: For each response that has a goal of Minimize or Target, enter an upper boundary.

Weight: Enter a number from 0.1 to 10 to define the shape of the desirability function.

Importance: Enter a number from 0.1 to 10 to specify the comparative importance of the response.
