To control estimation of the parameters

1    In the Probit Analysis main dialog box, click Options.

2    Do one of the following, then click OK:

·    To estimate the model parameters from the data (the default), choose Estimate model parameters.

-    To enter starting estimates for the parameters: In Use starting estimates, enter one starting value for each coefficient in the regression table. Enter the values in the order that they appear in the regression table.

Note

Do not enter a starting value for the natural response rate here.

 

-    To specify the maximum number of iterations, enter a positive integer.

·    To enter your own estimates for the model parameters, choose Use historical estimates and enter one starting value for each coefficient in the regression table. Enter the values in the order that they appear in the regression table.
