Stat > Reliability/Survival > Warranty Analysis > Warranty Prediction > Prediction
You can enter the number of time periods for which you want to predict failures and enter the production schedule associated with these time periods.
You can also enter a confidence level that Minitab will use for all confidence intervals.
Predict failures through the following time period: Enter a constant representing the number of future time periods for which to predict failures. The units of these time value must be the same as those used in the transformed warranty data.
Future Production Schedule
Production quantity for each time period: Enter a constant or constants containing the projected quantity of units that will be produced and shipped periodically in the next time periods. If you enter a single constant, Minitab assumes that the quantity shipped is the same for each time period. If the number shipped differs across time periods, enter a separate constant for each time period.
Confidence level: Enter a confidence level for all of the confidence intervals. The default is 95%.
Confidence intervals: Choose to use two-sided confidence intervals (the default) or just an upper or lower confidence bound.
