Use to specify the confidence level and type of confidence interval for the comparisons. The confidence level is the individual confidence level for Fisher's method and the simultaneous confidence level for all other methods.
Use the confidence intervals to determine likely ranges for the differences and to assess the practical significance of the differences.
Confidence level: Enter the confidence level for all intervals. Enter any number between 0 and 100.
Type of interval: When you have a control group, choose the type of confidence interval. While a one-sided bound gives greater power than a two-sided confidence interval, it can only detect a difference in one direction.
Two-sided: Choose to determine whether the treatment means differ from the control group mean in either direction.
Lower bound: Choose to determine whether the treatment means are greater than the control group mean.
Upper bound: Choose to determine whether the treatment means are less than the control group mean.
