Stat > Basic Statistics > 2 Proportions > Options
Select among options for the confidence interval and hypothesis test.
Confidence level: Enter the level of confidence desired. Enter any number between 0 and 100. The default is 95.
Hypothesized difference: Enter the null hypothesis value, which is the hypothesized difference in population proportions value p0.
Alternative hypothesis: Choose the form of the alternative hypothesis: Difference < hypothesized difference (lower-tailed), Difference hypothesized difference (two-tailed), or Difference > hypothesized difference (upper-tailed). Note that if you choose a lower-tailed or an upper-tailed hypothesis test, an upper or lower confidence bound will be constructed, respectively, rather than a confidence interval.
Test method: Choose to estimate the proportions separately or to use a pooled estimate of p for the hypothesis test.
