2    In Response, choose a response variable from the drop-down list.

3    In the second drop-down list, choose whether you will enter variable values or columns that contain the variable values in the dialog table.

·    If you want to enter the variable values:

-    Choose Enter individual values.

-    In the table, enter at least one value for each variable. The table columns must be the same length.

-   You must enter numeric or date/time values for continuous variables. For categorical variables, choose a setting from the drop-down in the table cell.

·    If you want to enter worksheet columns that contain the variable values:

-    Choose Enter columns of values.

-    In the table, enter one worksheet column for each variable.

-   Each column in the worksheet must contain the values for one variable. All worksheet columns must be the same length.

-   For a continuous variable, the column must be numeric or date/time. For a categorical variable, the column must contain values that match the values used to fit the model.
