Use to predict the response for new observations and to store prediction values.

Dialog box items

New observation for predictors: Enter a numeric predictor value, or a column in which numeric predictor values are stored, for each predictor in the expectation function. Columns must be the same length. The number of arguments (values and columns), and the order you enter them, must match your expectation function. If a predictor is listed more than once in the expectation function, enter its argument only for the first instance. If you use a mix of values and columns, Minitab repeats values for each row of the columns.

Type of limit: Choose the type of prediction interval: two-sided (default), lower bound, or upper bound.

Storage

Fits: Check to store the fitted values for new observations.

SEs of fits: Check to store the estimated standard error of the fitted values.

Confidence limits: Check to store the limits of the confidence interval for the prediction.

Prediction limits: Check to store the limits of the prediction interval.
