To perform a nonlinear regression analysis

1    Choose Stat > Regression > Nonlinear Regression.

2    In Response, enter the column that contains the response (Y) variable.

3    In Expectation Function, enter the function that describes the relationship between the predictor(s) and the expected response value. Use one of these methods to enter the function:

·    <Use Catalog>: Click to choose a predefined function.

·    <Use Calculator>: Click to use the calculator to enter a custom function.

·    Edit directly: Enter the function directly into the text box.

4    If you select a function in the catalog, the Choose Predictors dialog appears. Enter the predictor for each placeholder in the equation in Actual Predictor. Click OK.

5    Click Parameters, and enter a starting value for each parameter. Click OK.

6    If you like, use one or more of the dialog box options, then click OK.
