To assign attributes based on grouping variables1 Select and double-click all boxes, bars, connect lines, dots, symbols, interval bars, or project lines. See Selecting groups and single items.
2 Click the Groups tab.
3 If you like, in Assign attributes by categorical variables, enter up to four columns of categorical grouping variables for bar chart and three for other graphs. Minitab assigns different attributes to each group and may display a legend. (Graphs with grouping variables only)
4 If you like, check Assign attributes by graph variables to assign different attributes for each graph variable and display a legend. (Graphs with multiple graph variables only)
5 If you like, check Apply attribute variables to other data displays to assign the group attributes to all data displays on the graph. (Not available with dotplots)
6 Click OK.
