Example of editing categorical scale labels multiple levels

Suppose you have created a graph with a categorical scale with more than one variable level. You decide to make the default categorical scale labels more descriptive. This example assumes you have created the graph in Example of a boxplot with multiple y's and groups.

1    Double-click the x-scale.

2    Click the Show tab.

3    Under Show Labels By Scale Level for Graph variables, check Axis Label.

4    Click the Labels tab.

5    Under Tick Labels for Graph variables, uncheck Auto.

6    In Custom, delete any existing text and type One Two Three.

7    Under Tick Labels for Machine, uncheck Auto.

8    In Custom, delete any existing text and type 'Extrudon 311' 'Polydrip KX-4'.

9    Under Axis Label for Graph variables, uncheck Auto.

10  In Custom, delete any existing text and type Week.

11  Under Axis Label for Machine, uncheck Auto.

12  In Custom, delete any existing text and type Model. Click OK.
