Acceptance Sampling by Attributes - CompareSampling Criteria - Measurement Type |
For attribute data, you say that either a unit is go/no go (pass/fail) or you can count and record the number of defects found in a unit. For example, a bag (unit) could have three tears and a smudged logo, which would total 4 defects. However, because any one of those defects could be a reason to reject the bag, the 4 defects would count as 1 defective.
Example Output |
Measurement type: Go/no go Lot quality in percent defective Lot size: 25000 Use the binomial distribution to calculate probability of acceptance |
Interpretation |
For the grocery bags, you inspect for rips and tears and for errors in the printed logo. Any problem found will be a reason to reject the entire bag; therefore, in this case, the measurement type is go/no go.
