Acceptance Sampling by Attributes - CompareSampling Criteria - Lot Quality |
For attribute data, you say that either a unit is go/no (pass/fail) or you can count and record the number of defects found in a unit.
When you have go/no go data, you count the number of defectives and calculate the product quality as percent defective, proportion defective, or defectives per million.
When you count and record the number of defects, you calculate the product quality expressed as defects per unit, per 100 units, or per million units.
Example Output |
Measurement type: Go/no go Lot quality in percent defective Lot size: 25000 Use the binomial distribution to calculate probability of acceptance |
Interpretation |
For the grocery bags, you have go/no go data. You decide to calculate the defective rate as percent defective.
