Display Descriptive Statistics

Summary

  

Use this information to assess the basic properties of your data distributions:

·    number of observations

·    central tendency - the location of the center, or most typical value, of the data set

·    dispersion - the amount of variation or spread in the data set

Display Descriptive Statistics can provide summary information for whole columns of data or for subsets of data within columns.

Data Description

An aspiring junior meteorologist collected the following data about her hometown weather over the course of a year. The values indicate the number of days per month with significant precipitation. She did not get started on the project until after January, so there is no observation for that month:
