One-Sample Equivalence Test

Method

The method table shows the target value for the test. If you specify the equivalence limits as a proportion of the target, then Minitab also shows the calculations for the equivalence interval.

Example Output

Method

Target = 4.2

Lower equivalence limit = -0.1 * target = -0.42

Upper equivalence limit = 0.1 * target = 0.42

Interpretation

For the snack bag analysis, the target is 4.2. The lower equivalence limit is -0.1 multiplied by the target, which equals -0.42. The upper limit is 0.1 multiplied by the target, which equals 0.42.
