One-Sample Equivalence Test

Graphs - Equivalence Plot

The equivalence plot summarizes the results of the test. If the CI (confidence interval) for the difference is within your equivalence limits, then you can claim the mean of the process or product is equivalent to the target value.

Example Output

Interpretation

For the snack bag analysis, the CI for the difference is not completely within the equivalence interval. The CI extends beyond the upper equivalence limit of 0.42. Thus you cannot conclude that the force that is required to open the new bags is equivalent to the target value.
