Use a Johnson transformation to transform your data to follow a normal distribution and store the transformed data for further analysis. Minitab performs the Johnson transformation by default or when you choose Johnson transformation from the drop-down list of distributions.

By default, Minitab uses a p-value of 0.10 to select the best fit; however, you may choose any value between 0 and 1.

If the Johnson transformation does not adequately transform your data, the Box-Cox transformation may work better; use whichever normal transformation method works better for your data.
