Summary of minimum requirement of standards:
According to lEC 60670.1:2012 Clause 18, the FCN connectors must pass the 850℃ Gw test and the Junction Box lids must pass the 650℃ GW test specified in AS/NZS 60695.2.11.
However, according to AS/NZS 3100:2009 Annex A, if the FCN connectors pass the 850℃ GW but with a flame that persists for 2s, the Junction Box lids (because they are impinged by the flame) must pass the consequential needle flame test of A 6.1.5. |
