India – TEC temporary exemption notification about 5 categories

TEC is preparing a notification – No. 6-8/2020/TC/TEC/75 on March 22, 2022 which is under the final approval to official.

In exercise of the powers conferred under the sub rule 529. of Indian Telegraph (Amendment) Rule, 2017, competent authority has temporarily excluded the following five products from the scope of MTCTE.

• Mobile User Equipment/Mobile Handset (Mobile Phone)
• Server  (Phase IV)
• Smart Watch (Phase III)
• Smart Camera (Phase III)
• PoS Machine(Point of Sale Devices) (Phase IV)
