2022 年 3 月，SIRIM/MCMC 公布所有IMT-2020 (第五代) - 蜂窝助推器设备和全球移动通信和长期演进系统的新申请和续订申请程序。
SIRIM and Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has approved and published Technical Codes for IMT-2020 (FIFTH GENERATION) - CELLULAR BOOSTER EQUIPMENT and GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE COMMUNICATIONS AND LONG-TERM EVOLUTION - CELLULAR BOOSTER EQUIPMENT last year August.
On March 2022 , SIRIM/MCMC had announce the procedure for the new application and Renewal application for all related product. Below are the information:
New Application
Pursuant to that, all GSM, LTE and 5G CBE that are to be imported, distributed, and/or used in Malaysia shall be certified in accordance with these Technical Codes. Thus, all new applications which fulfill the Technical Code and Certification Requirements for Compliance Approval (Type Approval) on Communication, Multimedia and Hybrid Equipment, eTAC/DOC/01-1.1 (“Certification Requirements”) will be granted full approval and are allowed for a maximum validity period of five (5) years.
Renewal Application
Renewal application for existing approval of GSM, LTE and 5G Booster Equipment are no longer allowed. These existing applications will be expired effective immediately. A new application (Normal Application) is required, and it shall meet the new technical code requirements for Cellular Booster Equipment.
