2022 年 4 月，中国香港通讯事务管理局 (OFCA) 发布了新的类别牌照、新的技术标准 HKCA1081 并更新了标签指引 HKCA3211。随着新法规的通过，通讯办现在允许 WLAN 设备部分使用 6 GHz 频谱。
In April 2022, the Office of the Communications Authority (OFCA) in Hong Kong published a new Class Licence, new Technical Standard HKCA1081 and update the labeling guideline HKCA3211.
With the adopted new regulations the OFCA allows now WLAN devices to utilize the 6 GHz spectrum partially:
“Client devices” are exempted from mandatory type approval processes, while “6 GHz Access Points” are expected to be subject to obligatory conformity assessment and labelling requirements.
Allowed Frequency band: 5.925 – 6.425 GHz
The maximum output power shall not exceed the limits indicated below:
Location of Use
Output Power (EIRP)
Indoor
24 dBm
Outdoor
14 dBm
All radiocommunications apparatus operating in the 6 GHz band shall meet the technical requirements in the ETSI EN 303 687 harmonised standard.
However, indoor devices are allowed to diverge from the mentioned EU requirements, namely:
- Power Output Limit has been increased to 24 dBm EIRP;
- PSD has been increased from 10 dBm/MHz to 11 dBm/MHz.
