Recognizing the increasing variation in software approval processes across the industry, AIAG and leading experts from OEMs and tier suppliers collaborated to develop the groundbreaking CQI-34 Software Assurance Approval Process (SwAAP) manual. Modeled after the highly successful Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), CQI-34 offers a structured process for approving software, whether as a standalone product or as part of a larger system. This manual provides industry-recommended methodologies for evaluating software development quality and offers comprehensive guidance for implementing a consistent approach across the supply chain. By leveraging CQI-34, organizations can effectively navigate the complexities of software approval and change management.
